The widow of Time Warner Inc’s former chair and CEO, Courtney Sale Ross, is best recognized for her work with The Ross School. Founded together with her late husband, Steve, The Ross School has groundbreaking facilities for interdisciplinary learning. The school is conveniently located East Hampton district of New York. She has also founded The Ross Global Academy and The Ross Institute.
One of Ross’ fervor is philanthropy. Her generous contributions are usually directed towards scholarship programs for the poor and to issues connected to US-China relations. In fact, a number of organizations in China have benefited from her financial support, like the Shanghai Museum, which has a theater named on her behalf.
Courtney Sale Ross also has an enduring involvement to the Courtney and Steven Ross Chair in Interdisciplinary Studies at her alma mater, Skidmore College. At the Steinhardt School of Education in New York, a mentor ship for education and globalization bearing her name is available for those who are interested and eligible.
Courtney Sale Ross also articulated her enthusiasm in the arts and film. She ran an art gallery in Texas and produced a number of films and television specials like Strokes of Genius, and Listen Up! The Lives of Quincy Jones.
